  1. Upload & activate the module

A) Upload & activate the module - top

  1. Extract your downloaded file contens. You will notice a folder called "documentation" and a new zip file, called "upload.zip". Since "documentation" folder contains this readme file and helpful instructions that are not needed in your Perfex CRM's installation, we will focus on the "upload.zip" file.
  2. "upload.zip" contains the module files (in a module format) that you upload in Perfex CRM's Modules installation section.
  3. Go to your Perfex CRM's Admin area and select the following menu item: SETUP > MODULES.

  4. Select the extracted upload.zip at Module installation selection prompt and press INSTALL.
  5. Find the newly installed module and press ACTIVATE.
  6. You will be told that module is successfully activated.


  7. That's it! Just head to WEBMAIL menu in order to configure all available options

    Press 'Mailbox Settings' , add your IMAP account's username/password and press SAVE.
    Then, head to the server settings by pressing the link found on 3rd mark of the screenshot:



    Configure your IMAP settings according to your provider's information:



    You are all set!

    Once above steps are completed, our module will try to connect to your inbox, as long as cron of Perfex is running.

    Important note: During initial IMAP connection, if you have an inbox loaded of unread emails, those emails will be imported on your Mailbox module and stored into Perfex's database, which is fine, but keep in mind that the process might need some minutes and depending on your server's resources, it might lead to a webserver timeout.

    If there are any errors or connection issues to your IMAP account, they will be logged in Activity Log menu, under Utilities.

    Optional: translation of texts

    Our module contains a localized file with all necessary strings in it, so you can translate them to your own language if its needed or change them. This file can be found under module's folder and /language/english/ subfolder.

    You can create your own language folders there or override the language strings directly from your custom language file of Perfex's installation ( link )
